Important Consideration: Abbreviated Print Announcement

To stretch your advertising budget, you may consider an abbreviated print announcement with a reference to a posting on the department website that contains full details of the position.  The short announcement should generally include:

  • Introductory language (Sentence or two)
  • Position grade, rank and title; attributes of a successful candidate
  • URL where interested individuals can find more details, including the comprehensive announcement with qualifications and application procedures
  • Review date
  • The GW EEO/AA statement
  • Background screening statement
